not corrode or damage equipment, pumps or seals, will not emulsify
(which adds to the toxic material cleanup), will not freeze to
temperatures of 17°F.
FireStopper®
can be used with all types of hardware. No costly Compressed Air Foam systems are required but may
also be used. Proportioners,
inductors, centrifugal pump foam intakes or standard tank batch mixing may be
used. FireStopper® will never separate, gel, crystallize or otherwise
become unstable. The shelf life of FireStopper®
is indefinite. Naturally
aspirated nozzles or CAF type systems are recommended on floating fuel fires,
tires, plastics and other material that requires sticking power for the
endothermic capabilities.
FireStopper®
will lubricate pumps and seals,
increasing their life, will reduce collateral damage in structures by
using less water, will act as a fire break and or structure protection in
Wildland fires for up to 28 days with one single application, will reduce the

Firefighting Catalyst
FireStopper®
suppresses type A, B, C, D & K fires with a Ľ% - 100% concentrate
mix with the capability as described hereafter.
Class
A Fires:
Wood, Paper, Cotton, Hay, Coal, Tires
FireStopper®
is used on Class A fires at a mixture ratio of Ľ to 1% concentrate.
Best
Use: Hardware: All available
hardware. Use: a combination fog or fog/stream, directly at base of fire
for best results.
FireStopper®
can be introduced into the water stream by any type of liquid
concentrate proportioning system including in-line induction, on-board
proportioner, balance pressure metering or other similar system. FireStopper®
is also effective when premixed in any water tank. By providing a mixture of
Ľ% or greater in the water, FireStopper® will provide tremendous
extinguishing capabilities, faster cool down, dramatically reducing water usage.
FireStopper®
can be used to cut a path through the fire for the rescue of
casualties or property protection. The extinguished/treated areas will remain
extinguished even if the fire is still burning on both sides.
FireStopper® is an excellent fire retardant for pretreating homes, fire
buffer zones and other valuable property, protecting them from adjacent
structure fires or creating and maintaining a firebreak in the case of a Wildland
fire. Applied as a fire retardant on Class A fire materials, a 6 to 10%
solution should be applied abundantly to all surfaces (including roofs) by
spraying it on. A hand pump garden sprayer may be used (but will take a long
time). FireStopper® will continue to work as a retardant for up to 45
days. Rain, new growth, and other natural factors may vary the actual timeframe
for maximum effectiveness. Current
users of FireStopper® commonly fill their PW (Pressurized Water)
Extinguishers with a 6% concentrate and place them in their homes, barns,
trucks, and businesses. Also
homeowners in the Western United States have been purchasing 5-25 gallons of
concentrate and storing it in their garage or on their porch. In case of a Wildland
fire or house fire it is available for the local Fire Department to use
(dump in their tank as per previous arrangement) upon arrival.
Class
B Fires:
Polar and
FireStopper®
is used at 3% - 6% on:
Non-Polar
Solvents
FireStopper®
suppresses Polar and Non-Polar Fires.
Best
Use: Hardware: a Self-Aspirating Foaming Nozzle (Example: Akron Challenger 2001 Nozzle), Compressed Air Foam Systems, Any
nozzle that produces the finest
particulate possible while maintaining the proper distance to reach the affected
area (Ex. Akron Turbo Nozzle). Use: apply using a up and down, side to
side motion as if you were drawing a wavy line. Rain the Catalyst onto the
burning fuel. It is not necessary to flow it like a foam is applied.
FireStopper®
attacks the fire on all sides of the fire Tetrahedron
simultaneously. Working at the molecular level, without emulsification, FireStopper’s®
tremendous endothermic capabilities quickly reduce the fuel below ignition
levels. Renders the fuel temporarily inert at the molecular level, taking away any burnable
fuel. Quickly neutralizing chemical reactions and cutting off oxygen with our
long lasting foaming marker. FireStopper®
is capable of creating a foam blanket, but is not required to extinguish the
fire and render the fuel inert. Again no emulsification takes place allowing FireStopper®
to be separated from oil-based fuels after cleanup or recovery. Gasoline and
other fuels can be recovered after a fire, not disposed of as Hazardous Material
like takes place today. FireStopper® is most effective on floating fuel
fires when foamed using a naturally aspirated nozzle, CAF Air system or other
means of creating vary fine particulate that reduces the specific gravity of the
water closer to a 1:1 ratio with that of the fuel.
Class
C Fires:
Anything that is charged with Electricity.
FireStopper®
is used on Class C fires at a 100% concentrate.
Best
Use: Hardware: Any hardware that
is UL certified for use with water on an electrical fire. Use: a fog or
broken stream, directly at base of fire for best results. CAUTION: Improper
or un-rated hardware could result in electric shock or death.
FireStopper® will provide tremendous extinguishing capabilities, faster cool down,
dramatically reducing further damage. If
the fire is too dangerous to approach or attempt extinguishment, FireStopper®
can be used on other fuels (furniture, clothing, desks, papers, etc) in the
area as a retardant to help keep the fire from spreading until help arrives.
Class
D Fires:
Aluminum, Titanium, Magnesium, All Metals (Except Lithium & Sodium Based Metals)
FireStopper®
is used on Class D fires at a 3%-100% concentrate.
Best
Use: Hardware: All available
hardware. Use: a fog or fog/stream, directly at the source of fuel for
best results. CAUTION: Use appropriate precautions as to not splash molten
metal.
FireStopper® will provide tremendous extinguishing capabilities, faster cool down,
dramatically reducing further damage.
Class
K Fires: (F in UK)
Grease & Fats (Kitchen Fires)
FireStopper®
is used on Class K (F in UK) fires at a 3% - 6% concentrate.
Best
Use: Hardware: Spray Bottle or PW
Foaming Extinguisher. Use: a fog or foam/gentle stream, directly at the
source of fuel for best results. CAUTION: Use appropriate precautions as to
not splash burning grease or fat, spreading the fire.
FireStopper® will provide tremendous extinguishing capabilities, faster cool down,
dramatically reducing further property damage.
Endothermic Cooling Agent
FireStopper®
exhibits tremendous endothermic cooling properties. Under real world
testing conditions FireStopper® reduced the temperature of a 1700°F
fire to 120°F
in <45 seconds. It’s natural composition of 1/15th to 1/19th
the surface tension of water makes FireStopper® remarkably effective in
instant penetration and cooling of any surface. The natural anti-steaming
properties reduce the amount of steam produced allowing FireStopper® to
cling to almost any surface; further allowing continued convection of the heat
to the FireStopper®. FireStopper®
allows hot debris, even tires, to be removed immediately after
extinguishment. As a cooling agent
on compressed natural gas storage tanks or other fuel storage tanks, FireStopper®
protects from radiant heat without constant use.
Use of FireStopper® as a thermal barrier only requires reapplying
as needed not constantly.
FireStopper® can be used to cool
hydraulic systems, cool and lubricate emergency cutting apparatus (no sparks),
cool heat stroke and burn patients, quick cool hot parts and more.
Pretreatment
/ Fire Retardant
FireStopper® has
been used for several years now as a fire retardant.
In the Western United States FireStopper® has treated hundreds of
homes in the path of Wildland Fires, and to date has never lost a treated
structure to a fire.
Best
Use: Hardware: Pump up Hand Garden
Sprayer; Tank supplied Pressure Washer (any psi) or other type water pump used
to spray water from a tank. Note:
In an emergency situation FireStopper® could be applied through the soap
inductor on a pressure washer, however this will mix less than the prescribed
mixture of FireStopper® for pretreatment, and is only recommended for an
emergency situation. Use: Batch mix FireStopper® in water at a 6
- 10% concentrate (Example: In a 100 Gallon Tank, use 90-94 Gallons of Water, 6
- 10
Gallons of FireStopper®). Preparation is important.
The first step is to prepare the structure for pretreatment. Prepare the
structure as specified by the US Forestry Service on the site www.firewise.org
as if you were not pretreating at all. Rake away all leaves, dead underbrush,
cut and rake tall grass, remove excessive bushes or plants, and remove any
flammable yard debris, firewood piles up to 150 feet (or more if on a hill or
mountain) from the structure. Next remove any low limbs (up to 12 feet from the
ground) within 150 feet of the structure (again more if on a hill or mountain).
Next apply by spraying, a 6 - 10% concentrate mixture of FireStopper® in
water. (Quick Note: Always put your
water in first. then add FireStopper®).
During treatment pay careful attention to where you spray FireStopper®
because as you spray it, it will disappear into the surface quickly. On
large areas that take time to cover, you may quickly loose track of where you
left off. Treat every square inch
of the structure including foundation, walls, windows and sills, decks or
porches, overhangs and eves, and roof. Thoroughly saturate every square foot of
the structure. After the FireStopper®
soaks in and dries slightly, reapply a second and possibly third coat to areas
that present the most risk of fire. Overhangs,
roofs, decks, fences, sides adjacent to slops or woods, etc.
Next your attention should be directed to the plants, bushes, grass and
trees. The same mixture that you used on the structure (6-10%) should be used to
spray saturate plants, trees, bushes, grass lawns, lawn furniture or and other
non-removable flammable materials for a distance of not less than 150 feet. It
is best to spray trees all the way to the top. However if this is not possible
treat as high as possible up all trees with 150 feet of the structure.
Spraying the trees to the top (if they exist) will help create a radiant
heat barrier between the fire and the structure. Don’t forget to cover windows
with plywood before pretreatment or metal panels on the outside to keep radiant heat from
igniting drapes, furniture or other objects inside the structure. When covering
windows remember that high
winds of up to 80 mph or more are experienced in fire conditions. When applied
as stated above, FireStopper® will dramatically reduce the possibility
of loosing a structure to a Wildland Fire.
Toxic Smoke Collector / Scrubber
FireStopper®
is excellent for trapping and removing particulate and chemicals from the air.
Fine vapor mists, and foam of FireStopper® Catalyst are used to encapsulate, and
recover almost any particulate or chemical desired.
Best
Use: Hardware: Fogging Nozzles, Fog
Filtration Tunnels, Air Filtration Tanks
Use:
Using vary fine particulate fog and one or several nozzles as needed to cover the
source or areas where smoke is escaping or confined.
The FireStopper® vapor fog will stick to the particulate in the
air and gravity will bring it to the ground for cleanup. Depending on the fog
particulate fineness, pattern of use, and how well you are able to cover
escaping smoke, the majority of particulate may be removed. A concentration of
1% - 3% is used.
Vapor Control Agent
FireStopper®
is a Catalyst that renders hydrocarbons inert and non-fuming.
FireStopper® works at the molecular level to render fuels inert
without emulsification. Applied to spills, fuels such as Gasoline, Diesel,
Heptane and other fuels or chemicals can be rendered safe for cleanup and
disposal. FireStopper’s® ability to break up fossil fuels releases
these fuels from surfaces, making cleanup easy with suction or absorbent
materials. Use: apply FireStopper®
at a 1% - 3% mixture, by spraying the mixture onto any fuming fuels or
spills. Agitate with a broom or
mop, and vacuum or absorb. Repeat if necessary Fuels will not ignite or fume
after treatment. They are rendered inert. FireStopper® is ideal for
cleaning industrial storage tanks, rendering most flammable chemicals safe.
Bio-Remediation Agent
FireStopper®
helps speed Biodegradation of unwanted hydrocarbons by
attaching to the hydrocarbon molecule with an aqueous liquid catalyst that can
deliver one or more different contamination-eating microbes that can be
delivered through FireStopper®.
Hazardous Material Cleanup Agent
FireStopper®
has tremendous cleaning abilities.
The natural properties of FireStopper® make it an industrial
strength degreaser, giving it the ability to lift aqueous and oil based
contaminates from any surface for cleanup.
Furthermore FireStopper’s® ability to render any flammables
liquids or explosives inert and non-fuming allows for safer handling of cleanup
operations. Again no emulsification
takes place allowing FireStopper® to be separated from oil-based
Hazardous Materials after cleanup or recovery.
Explosive Suppression &
Neutralization Agent
FireStopper® has been tested, with the cooperation of the British MOD, against
explosions in confined areas. Upon
vary successful testing to date; FireStopper® has proven its ability to
suppress explosions and shock waves associated with such explosions in confined
areas in less than 100 milliseconds. Further
testing is underway to establish proper procedure and application for all types
of explosives. Results will be
published when testing is complete.
FireStopper’s® Features:
Non-Emulsifying Aqueous Firefighting Catalyst
Because of FireStopper’s® superior knockdown power without
emulsification, oil-based products may be recovered after an event. Instead of paying more to haul away emulsified Gasoline or
oil as Hazardous Materials, FireStopper® separates from oil bases within
72 hours and settles to the bottom to be removed.
The only fuel or oil lost was what may have burned or spilled.
Fire Retardant
As
a fire retardant, no other product on the market has the ability to offer the
protection that FireStopper® provides.
Applied as a fire retardant, FireStopper® protects property or
fire lines for up to 45 days with a single application.
Once dry, the real power of FireStopper® is unleashed. It does
not leave residue of any kind, is completely transparent, and protects against
ignition from any source. FireStopper®
is a 100% environmentally safe product. It
will not hurt the environment, fish or mammals.
Environmental tests results are available at www.firestopper.us.
Wetting Agent
As
a wetting agent FireStopper’s® is unsurpassed.
The compounds in our product reduce the surface tension to 1/19th
that of water. No other product
makes water so wet, creating extreme penetration into any surface.
This creates faster endothermic cooling and greater retardancy to fire.
Foaming Agent
FireStopper®
is not foam it’s a catalyst. Made
of special components FireStopper® is completely clear by nature.
A high quality foaming marker is added to FireStopper® to allow
users to see where they have applied it. This foaming agent allows FireStopper®
to create a tough foam blanket if desired.
The main difference between a blanket of FireStopper® and a
blanket of AFFF is 1) FireStopper® being a Catalyst, attacks the fire at
the molecular level. No blanket is required to extinguish the fire.
By rendering fuels inert with a catalytic reaction when FireStopper®
comes in contact with the hydrocarbon molecules, the blocking of Oxygen is not
required to extinguish the fire. However
if a blanket is required for some other reason FireStopper® will provide
the longest lasting foam barrier available.
2) AFFF creates a blanket that retains heat within the burning product.
Flashbacks more easily occur for this reason.
If FireStopper® is used to create a blanket of foam, it does not
trap heat within the fuel source but absorbs the heat at tremendous rates,
usually lowering the temperature of the fuel below ignition point within
seconds. If the blanket is broken no flashback will occur, ever. And 3) FireStopper®
overall is far more cost effective than any other media available.
Cooling Agent
As
a cooling agent FireStopper® is unsurpassed.
Debris can be removed immediately upon extinguishment. (Including Tires,
metals, fiberglass, etc.) The
tremendous endothermic properties of FireStopper® remain unmatched by
any other firefighting products on the market today.
Cooling exposed structures or tanks become easier using less of your
valuable resources.
Cost Effective
The cost effectiveness of FireStopper® has proven itself time after time. When overall considerations are accounted for FireStopper’s® has the ability to reduce costs as much as 90+%.
Non-Hazardous
FireStopper®
is non-hazardous to humans, birds, animals, plants, trees, or fish. FireStopper®
is not even an eye irritant. The actual test results are available upon
request.
Biodegradable
FireStopper® is 100% Biodegradable. Our
Catalyst is made of special molecular compounds. It is a delicatessen feast for the natural microbes living in
our environment. As a result the
microbes consume the FireStopper® over time producing a byproduct
of high-grade nitrogen fertilizer.
Non-Toxic
FireStopper® is 100% non-toxic to the environment. FireStopper® requires no special labeling or chronic
health hazard warning statements and is in compliance with FHSA regulations, 16
CFR 1500 and California Proposition 65.
Non-Corrosive
FireStopper®
is not corrosive. Our
catalyst will not harm hoses, nozzles, pumps, tanks, structures, automobiles, or
any other object that it may come in contact with. Actually because of the
lubricating properties of FireStopper®, it will enhance the efficiency
and prolong the life of pumps and seals.
Unlimited Shelf Life
FireStopper®
has been used and tested for effectiveness after prolonged storage.
Based on scientific and real world observations, FireStopper® that
was stored for a period of over 9 years in its original factory container was
compared to freshly produced batch of the product.
Tests showed that no degradation in the product had occurred, and the
effectiveness of the product was deemed to be 100%.
